Hello, all! Long time, no see!
Yesterday was my first day back to school, after a two week long Spring Break - or "Oster Ferien" (Easter Holiday).
During that time, I took a seven-hour ride in a Deutsche Bahn train alone, down south to "Bad Neuenahr" to visit my lovely host grandparents, Ursula and Willhelm Greulsberg - or as I more affectionately refer to them: Oma and Opa (means grandma/pa in German). They treated me with so much love and affection. They both overflowed with excitment and joy, being able to show me all their is to see around their town - and my goodness was there SO much to see. The first few days, we relaxed in their beautiful, cozy home, decorated by trinkets and knick-knacks from all their travelings, while they taught me a few German recipes. Later, they brought me to a "Schmetterlinge Garten" - a Butterfly Garden, which was a greenhouse that breeds butterflies - Oh my God, this was paradise for me. Various kinds of beautiful butterflies were gracefully floating past my face at any given moment, exotic flowers and birds all around, little "Wachtels" strutting around (weird sort of bird), and lizards at my feet. Oma and Opa had a nice time buying me a cool butterfly shirt
